I'm sorry how do you NOT see the story here?? What they have done is illegal! It is theft of goods and services at the expense of the city of San Antonio! Not only have they stole, they were paid to do so and still have their jobs! The city manager and deputy city manager have done nothing about this and are trying their hardest to ignore this! When really criminal charges should be brought against them. If it were a private company they would have no job and be facing jail time! They didn't just give to vendors and potential clients, they gave to friends and family! That isn't right now matter how you try to spin it.

Sorry... still dont see the point. This may be a "government owned property" but they still need to turn a profit. In order to do so, it may be of benefit to bring clients in and give them freebies. Same as giving tax abatements to corporations in order to lure them to SA. Nothing worse them empty seats and suites at events.

This story is total BS! The reporter needs to go uncover real problems in our city rather than wasting time on this like this...

The city SA is quickly heading towards a California type bankruptcy. Overpaid employees and widespread greed among it ranks. Their retirement fund will implode soon due to poor management under Sheryl Sculley. Thanks to the rampant Mexican drug money flowing through the city it's delayed the inevitable.

You'd think that these shysters would be able to afford a $900 suite, seeing as how they are making some pretty fat salaries: (taken from the Texas Tribune's government salary database) Michael Sawaya Convention, Sports & Entertainment Facilities Director $161,815 Marcelino Solis Convention Facilities General Manager $107,307

In 1 Corinthians 5:12, the apostle Paul says, "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?" God is the only one qualified to judge nonbelievers, people outside of the church. People who are not living according to God's Word may frustrate you, but as a believer, you shouldn't judge them or treat them harshly. Instead, you can offer them biblical tolerance — treating them with respect and patience even though you disagree with their poor choices here you go carman READ IT dumb a$$

I had no idea that the City of San Antonio had 4 high ranking red-neck city employees. I could understand box seats for The Rolling Stones..but a Monster Truck Jam?
