SAN ANTONIO - A San Antonio teenager is arrested after plotting an attack at his high school. San Antonio police arrested the 16 year old after he bragged on an online gaming system about his plan to shoot students at Marshall High School.

The Marshall High School student was playing XBOX 360 Live, a gaming system that allows players to talk live with other players from across the world. San Antonio police say the teen was telling a stranger in Canada details about how he planned to shoot a pregnant girl at school and shoot his best friend in the face.

News 4 WOAI obtained a copy of the police report which details what the teen said about his plot against the school. The report states that he planned to get the guns from a Marine Corps friend, and that he thought out tactical details like how long he would have before S.W.A.T. officers arrived. The police report also states the reason the student wanted to attack the school was to "make the headlines so that people would remember him forever".

Police say a Canadian man who was playing the game with the Marshall High School student became so alarmed by what the teenager was saying that he contacted Canadian authorities and reported it to them.

“He was on a gaming system where you're able to chat while playing the game. During this time, there was a group of individuals playing a game with our reporting person and he told police they were planning to shoot up a local high school. Those individuals were going into depth about their plan. The Canadian Mounted Police turned the investigation over to SAPD," said Officer Matt Porter, spokesman for San Antonio Police Department.

News 4 WOAI contacted Northside Independent School District officials and they tell us San Antonio police notified Marshall High School administration. SAPD officers met with both the principal and the student before arresting the teen. School officials say during that meeting, the boy said what he did was “a stupid mistake”. School officials also tell News 4 WOAI that they believe the boy is “remorseful” and that there was “no serious threat”. The student has been suspended from the school indefinitely.

Police say the teenager was arrested and processed at Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center. He will be charged with false alarm or report, which is typically a misdemeanor. However, when a school is involved, then the charge is upgraded. Police say this Marshall High School student is now facing a state jail felony.

i think this is some what linked to the suicides at Brandise(wolf kids) and the possible shootings at OC that will happen linked to the wolf kids

I think there should be NO MERCY for this child. Imagine what Columbine would be like today had someone not treated those kids like "children" and just blew off their threats as teen angst. Such BS! I say the minute you start making adult decisions and wanting to act like an adult, you be treated like an adult. And "proudnative" it's completely my business when you start threatening my child and his friends. If someone came to your house or phoned your house and made threats you would have them arrested or a restraining order taken out - unless you're the other kind of person and you just shoot them on the spot and take care of business! Hell yeah it's my business! And I'm amazed that our media coverage on a daily basis consists mainly of what traffic accidents happened - not the real news like this. We have got to be more in the know as a community.

Look, it's one thing to punish the kid for what he said, but to throw away the key isn't going to solve anything and it's not going to make an example for other teenagers either. Make him finish his school year in an alternate school. What teenager doesn't say stupid things? The problem with todoy's society is that we keep ignoring what game industry is putting out for kid these days. He probably got caught up in the game itself and now were punishing him severly for a crime that never happened and a weapon he never had. Reminds me of that Tom Cruise future movie where they start arresting people before they commit a crime. I know a lot of people just want to jump on the bandwagon and start acussing the parents for his behavior, but I think we should all look at ourslves first before casting stones at the kid. It's always easy to be on the otherside and commenting harsh words. Just imgaine what the parents are going through right now. Anyone of us could be going throught what the parents are haveing to go through. The kid is only 16 and he admitted it was stupid. In no way am I saying to let him get away with it, I'm just saying that there are better alternate for this kinds of punishments when it comes to kids and lets be glad that it never happened. And most of all, the media doesn't have to make it seem like he's a killer. Headlines should read, Student arrested for saying something stupid while playing a violent game.

Sure the kid is a moron for posting his rants but at the same time you have to give credit to the Canadian who called his local authorities who in turned contacted the police here. What would be sad is the innocent kids and teachers he could have taken out all because he had issues of not being in the "popular" crowd at school. Look we all understand being a teen has its angst and disapointments, believe me we all have been there done that. The difference between those of us who sucked it up and moved on and those who are still acting like 3 year olds is that we have a better sense and grip on reality. Many kids today use the Xbox as their Best Friend and forget to get out and move, socialize, and do things that are healthy both body wise and mind wise. Sure it is okay to unwind time from time but if you feel that no one cares in the world well don't take out your anger on those who enjoy life. Get some help. Don't be embarrassed to not talk to your parents or confide in a peer. Glad SA didn't have to live a Columbine or a VT because many families don't deserve to feel the pains that this kid feels. If at all, if you are so down do this world a favor and take yourself out. Sure it's mean to say but better you than some innocent kid who wants to make something out of him/herself in life and actually contribute to society not take away from it!

It remains to be seen whether or not this stupid kid will be serving any time at all. Once his lawyer pleads the case and emphasizes his so-called remorse, it is likely he will be released with not much more than a slap on the wrist, maybe do some time at the alternative school. No doubt the parenst will release a statement describing his positive points and tell what a "good kid" the boy is.

I love how behind the times the media is....Do they not realize that the system being shown in the video is not even the system he was playing on.....Anyways, this idiot kid is one of millions of emo kids who come on to LIVE and talk trash. Its almost like the closet racists who post here. Everyone is a badass talking big man on the internet....

Why should you have heard about it spursfan65? He was dealt with, suspended indefinitely, thus protecting your child and every child there. I believe that makes it none of your business.

the only thing this punk is remorseful about is getting caught and snitched on and serving time.
