SAN ANTONIO - Lightning strikes are being blamed for two lightning strikes in Bexar County Monday night.

San Antonio firefighters say one fire started in the 3400 block of Fontenay near Ingram Park Mall on the west side.  They said the home was struck by lightning which caused some damage to the roof.

Another fire happened nearby in the 9000 block of Summit Lake.  Neighbors told firefighters they saw lightning strike the house.

In Zavala County, the sheriff's office said a tornado touched down around 9pm around La Pryor.  They said the tornado damaged light poles and trees, but they did not report any other significant damage.

There were also several thousand power outages around the San Antonio area.  As of 11:00pm, CPS Energy is reporting there are 125 separate outages affecting about 7,500 customers.
