SAN ANTONIO -- Hundreds of items were confiscated from a South Side flea market Wednesday after police determined they'd been stolen from stores.

Officers confiscated everything from baby formula to drugs and detergent at the Mission Open Air Market at Loop 410 and Moursund. According to investigators, the items had been stolen from area HEB, CVS and Walgreens stores.

No one was arrested, but police say some vendors may face charges. Some told police they'd purchased items in bulk from people selling pallet loads.

Anexa, when will you be going back to France? I think that the lifestyle over there suits you better. The Republicans have tried, but everything they accomplish in the House and send to the Senate, Harry Reid tables and won't allow to go to the floor, so who's doing the blocking?

210bro- Get Romeny in the white house and watch EVERYONE practically live off places like these while the fat cats are living it up. You think it is bad now? That is only because Obama can't get anything done because the republicans koch-block him the whole way. Then Republicans tell the teabillys that he hasn't accomplished anything yet they sit there filibustering away and idiots like you buy it.

This is nothing new. The local flea markets have been selling stolen goods for years. Undercover cops hit those places all the time and recover stolen merchandise. Pawn shops are another outlet for thieves. Anywhere you have a large population living in poverty, you have the subculture of flea markets and selling off the streets. The buyers of these goods are the real culprits, just like the buyers of drugs, prostitutes, illegal weapons, etc. drive the market for them. If you're buying a box of Tide for half the normal price at a flea market, you know you're buying stolen merchandise (unless of course you are stupid).

The black market thrives as Obama reigns. As if America losing it's AAA credit rating wouldn't have a penalty for the consumer? there it is, in your face.
