Call the finance department of the city of San Antonio and ask to speak to someone who can take a complaint. This department has authority and power that few know of. Mention to the complaint taker the woai troublemakers reports on the crazy meals, booze and party's paid for by taxpayers/ratepayers. And mention how it is impossible to post comments on beneby's blog, an attempt at censorship. It is easy to do and takes about 10 mins.

This is a corporate culture problem. It takes some pretty strong and consistent oversight to correct issues like this. They see it as a right and just how business gets done. This is also why they spend on advertising; to manage their corporate image. There PR and marketing budget is likely to plump up some to counter this negative publicity. But most news is ephemeral so they might just let it pass. Really, unless people are showing up at their gate with pitchforks and torches, they are not likely to seriously do anything about this.

I think there was a mandatory meeting this morning and employees were told that WOAI was misleading everyone and it was just mistake. Hopefully the employees will read the information provided here about expenses. They will be surprised at all the parties given for them that they didn't know anything about. Not giving evaluations/raises because they are short of money - duh!!

Damn, they charged for the Vasoline. Think about those that can't afford it. That hurts!

Wonder how many people that would feed at Haven for Hope, or the Food Bank? $800,000 in 2 years for food... hmmm...did the feed the population of a small country or the more likely the population of a large country club?

Good point Gecko...why in the heaven does a monopolic public institution without any competition in sight needs advertising? (Energy saving campaigns can be done by mail, attached to the bills). These CPS types are either vampires or leeches. They are sucking us dry.
