SAN ANTONIO -- A second child involved in a crash that happened during a drug bust Wednesday has died.
University Hospital officials confirmed 1-year-old Wesley Maspero died from his injuries Friday afternoon. Wesley was one of four children and two adults who were traveling in a Volvo that was hit by a Suburban near Interstate 35 and Shepherd Road around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday
. Police confirmed 3-year-old Walter Maspero died at the hospital a short time after the accident.
The driver of the Suburban, 30-year-old David Rodriguez
, was fleeing from police with hundreds of pounds of marijuana, according to investigators. He has been charged with capital murder for the death of the Walter Maspero.
Officials also confirmed 4-year-old Wyitt Maspero and 30-year-old Regina Masper have been released. The other two victims, 2-month-old Wynnsday Maspero and 30-year-old Jimmy Aaron Leyba, are in stable condition.
