Schlitterbahn employee accused of taking improper photos

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- An employee at Schlitterbahn has been arrested for allegedly taking inappropriate photographs of woman at the water park.

The employee, 55-year-old Silvestre Trujillo Leon, was a custodian at the park. According to Schlitterbahn officials, Leon had only been working at the park for a few days. They say last Thursday, a female park-goer reported that an employee might be be taking inappropriate pictures with his cell phone. Security officers at the park then contacted the New Braunfels Police Department.

During their investigation, officers found multiple images on Leon's cell phone which they described as inappropriate photos of women who appeared to be unaware of him taking photos of them. Leon was arrested and taken to the Comal County Jail.

The law being used in this case would be found under Texas Penal Code - Section 21.15. Improper Photography Or Visual Recording. A person commits a felony if they record someone in public without their consent, "with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person." The law does not specify how the person must be dressed, they may even be fully clothed. Whether or not your pictures are found to be "arousing" depends mostly on the officer who arrests who, and the judge. A felony is also committed if someone distributes a recording, knowing that it was made without the subject's permission.

Hard to make a call on this one unless you see the pictures. I mean were they shots of women in bikinis or close ups of crotches. It matters.

As long as this dude wasnt taking pic,s of kids or women changing in changing rooms I really dont see how they can make any charge stick. If you women dont want to be looked at by others then ware some thing over the bikini.

Taking pictures of kids is one thing, taking pictures of hot women is another. New Braunfels Police are 2 faced. Ya'll know the sawed off officer who only pulls big breasted women out of the river for a breathalizer? I got jacked by that punk for taking pics of adult women in bikini's to send to my boy's in Cali. Wanted to show em how hot Texas women are. I was with 2 ladies & a male bodybuilder. Guess his little Nightstick, didn't measure up? The "Can Ban" is in full force. If ya don't want men looking at your assets, don't put em out there. Spend ur money up river, where fun is still fun!

Wow this one is tough. I have to believe especially at a place like Schlitterbahn (Fiesta Tx, Sea World etc) that this happens ALL the time. I am not defending this man by no means but people (kids especially) send text messages to one another of their genitalia and most of the time nothing is done cause they're loser idiot kids. I think the problem is that he was an employee of Schlitterbahn. Once again, I don't know but I bet that there are crap loads of other workers at places like this deleting images right now after this story. And would the same result be if it was a 21 year old worker? Have to ask...
