SAN ANTONIO -- Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) wounded warriors and their family members and caregivers were treated to a concert by actor Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band on Wednesday.
The Academy Award-nominated actor and director, famously known as Lt. Dan in the movie "Forrest Gump," will perform during an Appreciation Day for our troops. The event also included "Restaurant Impossible" Chef Robert Irvine serving up a classic barbecue.
Sinise is the founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, which is an organization dedicated to helping and honoring U.S. service members, veterans, first responders and their families.
