SAN ANTONIO - Hazmat had a big mess to clean up on Interstate 35 after an 18-wheeler accident Friday morning.
The accident happened around 12:00 a.m. Friday on northbound Interstate 35 near Cevallos/South Laredo Street.
Police said the driver said he lost control of the 18-wheeler when the trailer started to fish tail. The big rig crashed into center guardrail which divides the upper and lower levels of Interstate 35, causing the truck and trailer to rollover. The truck's fuel tank landed on the lower level and the load of soft drinks in the trailer spilled onto the highway.
