Well @Sam1254, I think most the problem is the crappy quality of the images they always give in news stories. How can you be sure it is THAT person with a blurry image? :/ I really don't understand why business owners don't invest in security cameras with better resolution.

Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I'm always flumoxed by the fact that it takes so long for the public to recognize a person when their picture is shown in the news. Are we that isolated as a society?

I've worked in convenience stores that sold lottery tickets, they keep track of their assigned numbers printed in the corners, but wow, that's pretty good to find the criminals' women that fast just based on that.
