NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- Police in New Braunfels are hoping you can help them identify two women they say cashed in lottery tickets taken during an armed robbery.

Police received a call about a robbery at the Champs #4 store in the 2400 block of Loop 337 at around 6:20 a.m. on January 11th. According to the store clerk, two men walked in and one of them showed a handgun. The clerk was held at gunpoint in a back room as items, including lottery tickets, were taken from the store. The men then left on foot. No one saw which direction they went or if they got into a vehicle.

A short time later, two unidentified females cashed some of the stolen tickets at the Southcross Food Mart on the SOuth Side of San Antonio. The women appeared to be traveling in a white Honda CRV.

Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $2,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the persons responsible for the commission of this crime. All calls are confidential, and the caller will remain anonymous.

If you recognize the women or have any information about this robbery, please immediately contact the Comal County Crime Stoppers at 830-620-TIPS (8477) or 800-640-8422, CLICK HERE to send a web tip, or text a tip by texting “COMAL plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).

Well @Sam1254, I think most the problem is the crappy quality of the images they always give in news stories. How can you be sure it is THAT person with a blurry image? :/ I really don't understand why business owners don't invest in security cameras with better resolution.

Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I'm always flumoxed by the fact that it takes so long for the public to recognize a person when their picture is shown in the news. Are we that isolated as a society?

I've worked in convenience stores that sold lottery tickets, they keep track of their assigned numbers printed in the corners, but wow, that's pretty good to find the criminals' women that fast just based on that.
