Country legend Hank Williams Jr. is drawing attention for anti-Obama remarks as he played to a crowd of nearly 8,500 at the Iowa State Fair Friday night.
According to the Des Moines Register, Williams followed a performance of “We Don’t Apologize for America” by telling the 85 hundred or so fans in attendance, “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!” The newspaper says the crowd responded with a “loud and enthusiastic” cheer.
Williams was pulled from the opening of ESPN’s Monday Night Football after comparing President Barack Obama to Hitler.
