SAN ANTONIO -- A local mother is desperate to find her missing daughter, Genisis Nevaeh Franco. San Antonio Police are searching for baby Genisis, who will be two-years-old on March 1st, and her father 28 year-old Michael Anthony Franco.
Police say Franco left with his daughter Genisis on or about August 30th, 2012. Genisis was last seen on the 600 block of Morningview on the East Side. Genisis is about 2 feet tall, weighs about 15 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
"I feel like maybe she's mad at me because she thinks I left her," said Genisis' mom Kassandra Yzaguirre. Yzaguirre told News 4 she fears her daughter may be in danger with her father Michael Anthony Franco.
"It runs through my head every now and then, that something happened to her, and he's scared, and that's why he doesn't want to come forward," Yzaguirre went on to say.
Yzaguirre says she doesn't know why her ex-boyfriend would take their daughter. Yzaguirre went on to say at first police treated her daughter's case as a civil matter.
When Franco did not show up in court for a child support hearing, he also interfered with a custody order, and that's when police got involved.
A warrant is out for Franco's arrest.
"If he would see this, I would just tell him to bring my baby home," added Yzaguirre.
