This guy doesn't have a car, his motorcycle is out out commission so he rode his bicycle to WORK. He WORKS graveyard. He ride his bike to a local eatery to get something to eat and got run over by a DRUNK. More people should do whatever it takes to work and earn their own way.

This accident was the result of stupidity on both sides. I ride a bicycle on weekends, but I never take a chance, even when I have the ride of way. Seems to me that many forget that there are just way too many drivers on the road that are just plain sick and crazy. If I take a chance, I will end up dead-right.

Who the heck is out at 12:00 AM going for a bike ride? Probably somebody trying to avoid the DWI?

Ah, I see the error has been corrected. I retract my comments, but I'm still cracking up.

I'm sitting here just cracking up. The DRIVER was an older model red car with front end damage? This must be a first for SAPD. Unfortunately, not a first for WOAI writers who can't seem to make it past 1st grade English.

I agree entirely that ANYONE leaving the scene of an accident should be subjected to the full penalties under the law. Having said that, I have to add that bicycle riders in San Antonio are as stupid as the drivers, but with a lot less metal between them and major injury. Driving rules and laws apply equally to bicyclists, and I know the riders in this town…all over town…do NOT follow the law. Did this bicyclist have a light on his bike? He’s supposed to. I see bicyclists run stop signs and red lights all the time. It’s just dumb, folks. They were both wrong, but the cyclist could have been dead wrong.

Yes, another San Antonio TX hit and run. Hit and run and drunk driving seem to be favorite pastimes in the area. There seems to be something inherently wrong with the culture/attitude of 'it you don't get caught, it's OK' indigenous to San Antonio.

Almost everyday you hear of a hit and run. This is just as bad as drunk drivers or are they the same people. In either case the law is just too lenient.
