San Antonio police are looking for a man who was involved in a stabbing on the southeast side Friday night.

Officers said a man and a woman got into a fight in the 700 block of Avondale, near I-37 and Southcross.

Police said both the man and the woman had knives.  The woman told officers she stabbed the man in the chest and she was cut on the hand.

She left the scene and then called for help, but police haven't been able to find the man as of Friday night.

Doubtless, this incident is a result of the unsaved drinking beer or possibly wine. They like to drink strong whiskey or beer regularly and after the alcohol has taken ahold of them, they like to take out their knives and commence to cutting each other up. No one has ever been able to explain why they do this, but they have been doing it for hundreds of years. Luckily, these unsaved wretches have never discovered the efficacy of revolvers or they could actually be dangerous. As long as we allow strong drink to be sold in this city, we can expect this type of behavior just about every day.
