SAN ANTONIO -- Police are investigating possible threatening phone calls and text messages made by a nurse.
Police say the male nurse in an employee at Northeast Baptist hospital, and was suspended Thursday.
According to police the employee called his former boss, and also sent him what appeared to be threatening text messages.
Investigators say the nurse also sent text messages to a patient at the hospital.
Several hospital employees and patients were evacuated from the building as a precaution Thursday evening.
Police are still investigating what was said in the phone calls and text messages, but we're told the employees co-workers were aware he had weapons.
"He did say previously that he had weapons and I think that they might have thought that was in conjunction with the threats, " said Sgt. Arthur Casas, with SAPD.
Police were able to track the nurse down at his home. At last check he was being detained.
Possible charges are pending.
