Vikki Vargas of KNBC for NBC News Channel:

California officials are seeking the public's help identifying people featured in pictures that belong to a convicted serial killer.

Over 100 pictures were discovered inside a Seattle storage locker that had once belonged to convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala.

Alcala, who was a photographer, is convicted of murdering and raping four women in the 1970s, as well as kidnapping and murdering a 12-year-old in 1979.

Officials say they have decided to release the photographs, which features mainly women and children, in order to find out if they are of unidentified murder victims.

going west on hwy 90 past gen mcmullen, I have, for YEARS, seen a sign in someone's backyard facing the highway asking if you have seen "Lupita" (last name i can't remember). I now wonder if she may be one of his victims. Even if that is not the case, it has made me realize that you cannot lose hope for the truth will eventually see the light. Hopefully, the parents of these young girls are still alive and had not gone to the grave not knowing what happened to their daughters. Although a sad ending, an ending just the same.
