SAN ANTONIO - Charges may be filed against a patient who injured a pregnant paramedic, causing her to miscarry her unborn child.

This happened last week in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Police said the paramedic was tending to a man when he became combative and kicked and kneed her in the stomach.

THE state's medical examiner determined the injuries resulted in the miscarriage and now the district attorney is considering filing murder charges in the case.

I realoze that pregnant women wish to work as long as possible before starting medical leave, however it would seem that in certain occupations that leave should start earlier so as not to put them at risk for something like this.

1. Why was the patient combative? Was it due to his illness or was have AMS? I think as a medic, police office, etc you are doing that job understanding the risks that come with it. A combative patient is just part of the job. It may not be his fault if there was something wrong with him. 2. I agree with JJTX99...if you are going to charge this man with murder of a fetus then you need to charge every single woman that commits an abortion.

But wait isint a fetus just some tissue? It's not a human being or a baby or anything. Or at least that's what democrats say.

Wow! An EMS tech is trying to help you and then you decide to fight her, because you are a pathetic little man, and she looses her baby to take care of your dumb a$$. Sounds like Capital Murder to me.
