No more 18-wheelers!

A big rig loses its load just north of downtown leaving beer cans everywhere. The accident happened as the truck was going from I-35 south onto I-10 west Sunday morning. As a result that section of highway was shut down just about all day.

Dottie, don't you like have a job or a life or something? DUMB ASS TROLL lmao!!! TROLOLOLOLOL!!! I am willing to bet that you are a middle-aged, under-or-not-even-at-all sexed housewife, who's husband says he has to work late when in reality he's out getting his ass hole stretched at ACI... Check his credit cards, "Alternative Clubs Inc." is not his gym....

1- The San Antonio roads are not ancient, they were just poorly planned. 2- Austin is not only a metropolis (not the biggest one, maybe) but it's also the state capital, and a beautiful city. 3- There was no need to close the highway all day long for the clean-up. Just let the neighbors know they can "help" to clear "the devil's juice", and the area would have been cleaned in less than an hour.

This was probably the work of the Lord. All that beer needed to be destroyed because it's the devil's people who drink it. Drinking beer and whiskey is a sin and an abomination against God and Jesus. I'm almost 100% sure that this wreck was a miracle from Jesus.

Speeding is only part of the problem...the other part is the very poor highway design. San Antonio has the most ancient roads of any big metro area in Texas, except for Austin, but then Austin is not a metro area.

To ban commercial vehicles is a typical knee jerk reaction. The solution is for EVERYONE to obey the speed limit. The truck driver is not always at fault. I drive that intersection several times a week making deliveries. Very few if any 4 wheelers obey the posted speed limit. Trucks are vital to bring goods and services to the consumer. Many of these trucks are making local deliveries. It would be ludicrous to send them miles out of the way of their destination not to mention the additional costs associated to the consumer and the transportation company.
