SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for three men involved in a home invasion on the Northwest Side Tuesday.
News 4 was told at least three men armed with guns busted into an apartment at the Hill Country Place Apartments in the 5200 block of UTSA Boulevard around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. The trio tied up the men inside the apartment with duct tape and zip ties. They then stole the victims' money, wallets, and cell phones before leaving. The victims were able to free themselves and call for help.
Police are looking for a gray or silver vehicle believed to be the getaway vehicle. Luckily, no one was hurt during the invasion.
Other college students living at the apartment complex, who didn't want to be identified, said they're feeling uneasy about everything.
"That's pretty scary to think that people have the audacity to just come forward with a gun and just try and rob you," said one of the students.
Twelve days ago, the San Antonio Police Department announced the arrest of six teenagers they say were responsible for a string of robberies along Babcock, Hausman, and UTSA Boulevard. One of the teens arrested was also charged with murder.
The news of the latest home invasion has students worried again. "Especially being a college area, you'd expect that kinda stuff wouldn't go on, this is supposed to be a nice area where are coming to get an education, " said another student.
Police say they do have uniformed and undercover operations going on in the area.
