Sad story, poor woman.. I hope this forces administrative changes. I have to agree with "Guest" on this though regarding the balloon release. While the gesture have a nice visual symbolic meaning, it is only bad for the environment. Animals that can eat the balloons and trash afterwards, not to mention there is a helium shortage and helium is non-renewable. I'd look into other ways to honor her memory that are less harmful.

Hopefully she is at peace now. I know people want to honor her memory and life but why do they do balloon releases? I am sorry to say but that doesn't do anybody any good and those eventually come back as trash on the earth. Can't they plant a tree or erect some other memorial?

Attenh, what in the world does making money have to do with this poor woman being alone. She had a home, and she had her animals, she HAD NO FAMILY to take care of her, or to talk to her, which is a very very important thing for the elderly. This had NOTHING to do with money. Quit trying to advertise your stupid website.

I feel so sorry for those who are neglected, that can't help themselves. No one deserves to live like that, when so many others were around her. Privacy is one thing, Neglect is another. I know as a Christian myself, that she is well taken care of now, and she doesn't remember what had happened to her at all. She's Happy Now!!!!!!

This is the saddeset thing I have ever heard. Makes me want to spend as much time with my senior family members as possible. Mainly to monitor their health, but to also keep them from being so lonely in their golden years.
