SAN ANTONIO - Homeowners in a Northeast Side neighborhood off Rittiman Road near Village View are on watch.
Lupe Vasquez says a suspicious teenager has knocked on his front door twice. Police believe the teen is checking to see if anyone is home.
Evelyn Greenwood believes someone was watching her home. She told me when she returned from the grocery store burglars were inside.
“They ransacked everything. They were only looking for money,” said Greenwood.
We did some checking and found ten burglaries over a year’s time in the area of Village View and Village Court.
Police advise if someone comes to your front door and you don't recognize them or you’re not expecting someone, don't open your door. However, they also advise that you talk to them while the door is closed, so that they know someone is home. Also have your phone near you in case you need to call police.
