SAN ANTONIO -- A 62-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday morning after police say he hit a concrete barrier.

According to police, the accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday as he was traveling south on Interstate 35.

He tried to merge onto 410, but somehow lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, officials said.

Police tell News 4 San Antonio the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, but he suffered head trauma when he hit a metal sign.

The man was taken to SAMMC where he later died. His name was not immediately released.

trutex, usually the problem is not with the bike or rider but with the idiots who surround themselves with 4 wheels, steel, and no brains. I have been riding for years and have my close calls not because I was being negligent, speeding, or drinking but because some moron in a car, truck or van cut me off, slammed on their brakes or simply decided it would be fun to piss me off.
