SAN MARCOS, Texas--Monica Sanchez is heartbroken over her missing daughter. The San Marcos Police Department, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and Federal authorities continue to investigate the missing child's case.
Sanchez's daughter 3-year-old Sarahi Garcia went missing back in January.
Investigators believe the child is in Mexico with her father.
On January 18th, Sanchez received a phone call from Sarahi's father, 45-year-old Armando Munoz-Garcia saying he was in Mexico and wasn't going to return Sarahi.
The three year olds parents have a custody agreement that prohibits the child from leaving Texas and hiding the child from her mother.
Sanchez told WOAI on March 30th she received another phone call from Munoz-Garcia and she was able to hear her daughters voice.
"She said mommy, hi mommy, " replied Sanchez. Sanchez went on to say Sarahi's father told her she wouldn't see her daughter until she was fifteen and hung up the phone.
Sanchez is waiting for the day she'll be able to see her daughter again. "I'm leaving it in God's hands, " she replied.
