SAN ANTONIO -  One man is in critical condition and another in jail after a shooting on the West Side.

The incident happened at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday at The Oaks on Bandera Apartments on Bandera near West Woodlawn.

Police said the victim was approached by a robber in the parking lot.

The robber had a gun and demanded the victim hand over his laptop.

When he refused, the men started to struggle and that's when the victim was shot in the stomach.

He was rushed to University Hospital.

A security guard followed the robber and arrested him a few blocks down the road.

The man now faces aggravated robbery charges, but they could be upgraded if the victim dies.

That is why you need to install Norton Anti theft..It's real cheap and as soon as you log on to another computer it will locate your computer via satellite and start snapping photos with the web cam..all three of our lap tops have it..I figure if someone takes a bunch of things I can locate it and the thief..But I'm also taking the concealed hand gun class ASAP..

I am 81 years young and have a canceled carry license and I always go packing. Wont that be a surprise to some scumbag?

Kudos to the security guard. Had it not been for his brave actions, that sorry POS would have gotten away to go rob and possibly kill someone. It's amazing how it seems that those scumbags always attack innocent person's that are never armed. Just to think the big push is underway to disarm law abiding citizens to be left to the mercy of criminals. That will never happen because law abiding Americans will fight back!
