SAN ANTONIO -- Authorities say a man died early Sunday after he allegedly was shot by his friend inside a Northwest Side home.

According to police, the shooting occurred in the 3800 block of Pipers Meadow around 5:30 a.m. Sunday. Investigators say the suspect pulled out a gun during an argument and shot 43-year-old John Gutierrez of Pleasanton. Gutierrez was treated at the scene but passed away while en route to University Hospital.

The suspect, who has not been named, was taken into custody and was expected to be charged with murder. The weapon believed to be used in the shooting was collected by police at the scene for evidence.

I just though of this. Tell you what. When the politicians agree to unarm their body guards I will begin to listen to the anti-gun lobby. Until then, I choose to protect myself. This idiot that shot his "friend" needs to be put away. He gives law abiding citizens a bad name. I have had a loaded gun in my closet for years and I have yet to see it leave the closet and shoot someone all by itself. Don't blame to gun, blame the user.

Luigi is uninformed. Nothing he has said makes any sense. If there were no guns in this country, we would be using other means. I bet here are more stabbings than shootings. No guns in Chicago and they are by far one of the most dangerous cites in the U.S. Do we take away all the sharp edged instruments too? Then we remove all theclubs, bats, sticks? Soon it becmes ridiculous. Prosecute the offenders an make Susan Reed do her job. In a democracy we have freedoms and when our laws are broken the offender should pay. We dont take guns away from law abiding people.

"you guys" are the right wing mob...the ones who bash all things "liberal",(a word i do not use to describe myself anyway), the ones who can only degrade and hate our current president (a man i did not vote for), the ones who repeatedly prescribe taliban-like tactics to handle minor domestic transgressions by our own fellow citizens (graffiti art for instance)...the ones who mistakenly believe that the media is controlled by leftist forces...(shall i go on???)...

How about the three words you wrote in front of "bimbo"? I'm not going to fight with you Luigi. Have a nice rest of the day. Oh, and I'm only me, myself, one person...not "you guys".

LUIGI!!!!! Hon, stop, take a deep breath, count to 10, and calm down. I don't want to have to send a memorial donation to the charity of my choice in your name because you let this stuff give you a heart attack!!!!! We all have opinions and we all don't and can't agree. Don't let this send you ballastic like this. I've been there, and you know it, but I think I'm over it.............although, like being an alcoholic, I could have a relapse, but it will be a minor one if it happens. Please, stop, think, and take care of yourself & your health!!
