I live in the area. This is simply a way to cash in. To save all the money...what the company in no way negligent but has to close the theater down. Then what more frickin' crime because there is now entertainment locally. WHY NOT SUE THE CRIMINAL CIVILALLY FOR SHOOTING...wait cuz he got no money. Dang...if you get shot at the mall sue the mall, get shot at heb sue heb, get shot on the street what sue the city? CMON get real...wrong place at the wrong time. Really his injuries constitute a 30 million dollar payday? Dear sir/madam what the hell you gonna do to make the neighborhood safer with 30 million? Problem here is morallity...teach you kiddos for every action is a reaction and consequence. Then there would be mindless fighting over a girl/boy. Does this plantiff really want safety? What are business to do next? Closed off parking lots? Subject to search? Constituents to go thru scanners to go see a movie? This lawsuit only feeds in to this pure greed. I hope that santikos (my neigbor literally) fights this greed. This neighborhood needs this theater. you didn't have to spend millons in upgrades years ago but you did. You shut down the drive in please keep this venue open.

In today's society one has to be ready to defend themselves against a growing number of dumb criminals who think the world is for their gain. This man only proved that he was ready for the buffet table.

when is society going to finally put blame where blame is due...on OTHER PEOPLE! not businesses! not inanimate objects! PEOPLE! Responsibility is unfortunately a lost concept on people today. this is NOT the theater's fault! sue the loser who shot you, dumbazz! geezus christ! another lost concept...logic. hmm, let's see...it's mcdonald's fault because i'm a fatazz who can't control my intake of food, it's the fork's fault for shoving fatty azz foods into my mouth. it's the gun's fault that some crazy got a hold of it and used it to shoot people. logic people! LEARN IT! KNOW IT! LIVE IT!

Ah yes, the strong odor of an attorney is coming through the on this article. I would just close the theater and eliminate the problem.

This is very infortunate, but at the moment of closing arguments in court, this complainant's lawyer will say: "Despite the security measures used by the theater management, a shooter was able to pass through and injure my client. The shooter will be sued too, yes, and the gun manufacturer, but right now, fork over the 30 million, 10 of which are for me as the head counsel". The theater is responsible and the proof is the bullet hole the now-very-fortunate young man has in his body. Santikos, to avoid bad publicity, will use insurance money to settle quickly and everyone will live happily ever after (until the next shooting).
