SAN ANTONIO -- A man walking along Interstate 10 early Thursday was run over by a car.
Police received a call about a man walking on Interstate 10 near the Finesilver Curve shortly before 6:00 a.m. Emergency crews then received a call about a passing motorist reportedly running over a man lying down in one of the lanes near the Culebra exit. The man, who police believe is in his late 20's, suffered injuries to his legs. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they also discovered the man had a puncture wound to his lower abdomen that apparently happened before the accident.
Police said the injured man was responsive but would not cooperate with officers, refusing to give his name or how he received his abdominal injury.
The man was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
