Man fired for lavish government party gets job back

You may recall the scandal that surfaced last year about a four-day Vegas conference by General Service Administration employees in 2010. It was a lavish affair to the tune of $823,000 tax dollars.

The board that protects those employees says he was not responsible for the event and the government went too far. Of course, it's the Obama administration. Remember, they aren't responsible for any problems. Blame it all on Bush.

Wrong there,@twotexasstar. Most folks don't realize this, but federal employees have a very powerful union, and like other unions, good or bad, they can arbitrate and reverse personnel decisions. Someone else that can "tell the government what to do" are voters. Since we don't know all the details on this individual's involvement, it behooves us not to be too judgmental.
