SAN ANTONIO -- A man identified as 25-year-old Peter Clevinger died early Sunday after police say he fell 10 stories from atop the Rivercenter Mall parking deck Downtown.
According to police, the incident occurred around midnight Sunday. Clevinger was found in a narrow passageway between the garage and another structure around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Clevinger was an Airman 1st Class stationed at JBSA-Lackland according to his father, Ralph Clevinger. Peter was an accomplished young man who leaves behind his mother, father, two sisters and an older brother who is a Captain in the Marine Corps, said his father.
Police say two men who were with Clevinger at the time of incident were detained for questioning. The circumstances surrounding his death remained under investigation Sunday afternoon, police said.
