LIVE OAK, Texas -- A man has been charged with animal cruelty after more than a dozen cats and several dogs were seized from a home in Live Oak.
The Live Oak Police Department said officers were sent to a home in the 7600 block of Antique Oak after they received a report about a foul smell there. Fourteen cats and five dogs were removed from the home, and police say the cats were in very poor condition.
Investigators learned 43-year-old Timothy Talbert, who lives across the street, was in control of the home. Police said Talbert has been charged with four counts of Cruelty to an Animal and may face additional animal cruelty charges.
