SAN ANTONIO -- A homeowner says he used a machete to stop a burglar from leaving his home.
Homeowner "Jesus" told us he walked into his home on Prestwick Boulevard around 10:00 p.m. Sunday and heard the back door open. Jesus said he picked up his machete and then walked in on a burglar who was stealing his laptops, televisions and XBox.
"I grabbed him, pulled him down, and I just held him down with it," Jesus said. "He moved a little bit. That's why he got cut in the ear."
Jesus held down 27-year-old Jaime Ortiz Lemus until police arrived. Lemus is now facing a burglary charge.
According to Jesus, Lemus is a friend of his wife's family.
