Lion kills intern at exotic animal park

Authorities are trying to determine what provoked a lion at an exotic animal park in Central California to attack and maul to death a 24-year-old woman, who had been on the job as an intern there for just a few weeks.

I looked up the haven and it looks like a beautiful place. I also looked into the interns facebook page and she seemed like a wonderful young woman. Very adventurous, did work in South Africa and appeared to have a knack for befriending people from all over. Very sad story all the way around.

"She was absolutely fearless," he said. Read that as "dumb." She thought the lion was her friend and lost sight of the fact that there is no such thing as a domesticated lion.
