being a small body shop we see this everyday, I thought it would change also but we are still being charge huge amounts for small tows..yesterday Assured towing told a long time customer they could only take cars to shops on their list and we were not on the "special" list, what gives with this? is that legal?I think their being paid off to keep some body shop full...

The tow company should remail the checks with an explanation, printout of the tow data and full contact info. To get a random check in the mail would make me think its a scam too. I think they did that on purpose.

Pull their permit and shut them down from doing any business in San Antonio or Bexar county.

I hope they charge them the maximum fine for every ticket! These towing companies have been ripping Bexar residents off for too long!

GOOD they deserve it..They were not very forgiving when they wrote in very small print their rules and not taking a boot off my car until we paid 130.00 on the spot. I can understand a smaller fee..but 130.00 doesn't make sense.
