SAN ANTONIO - Jack in the Box has released a bacon milkshake.
The Bacon Shake consists of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, a maraschino cherry and "bacon flavored syrup" but no actual bacon. A 24-ounce cup has 1,081 calories and 17 grams of protein.
One critic says it was "a heavy, lingering bland with a touch of smoke that doesn't go away."
The shake is not listed on menus in the restaurants, so it's more of a 'secret item' that people can order. Each restaurant is getting a very limited quantity.
