SAN ANTONIO - A husband was arrested for allegedly choking his wife and biting her lips shut so she couldn't scream for help.
The victim said her husband, 47-year-old David Yaeger, was in a jealous, drunken rage when he beat her and tried to strangle her last month. She told News 4 WOAI when officers started knocking on the door, Yaeger bit her lips shut.
"He had me by the neck. And he started biting me in the mouth, so that I wouldn't scream, because the police were outside," said the victim.
She said her landlord got her out, when she convinced Yaeger to open the door.
Yaeger is charged with assault and unlawful restraint. His bond was set at $18,500.
