It doesn't matter if it the middle lane , cross lane or stop sign , rail road tracks , whatever . It a damm freakin. Bus that's at a stop HELLO ,!!!!!! Slow the hell down and maybe something like this wouldn't happen ijs .she is devoted mother a mother that loves her kids more then life its self . God bless her and her family god bless.

it doesn't matter if the bus wrongfully stopped in the middle of the highway it still should not have been passed. the school buses put their flashing lights on way before they stop and extend their stop sign out as they are stopping. i don't wait for that stop sign.i stop when the lights begin to flash w/ cars behind me honking. but as it is i slow down more so when buses are around even when they are coming from the opposite direction. prayers for the brave Mom and family.

@ Chankla - You are implying the Curisers driver was going to blast past the stopped school bus in violation of state laws that say that cars on a divided highway and going in the same direction as a stopped school bus loading or un loading students must stop especially when the lights are flashing. All the more reason for carrying out my previous post and maybe add about 365 hours of community service as a human speed bump at that bus stop.

ok so i just heard the story from someone who knows the mom who got hit. apparently the bus driver did not pull over to the shoulder. the bus driver is not the normal driver for that route. the bus driver stopped in the slow lane past the drivewy where the child normally gets picked up. driver swerved to the shoulder to avoid hiting the bus thats when mom was hit.

The 50 year old jerk needs to be taken before judge immedatelly. After being found guilty he needs to retake the drivers license exam with the only passing grade is 100% a vision test with the only passing grade being 100%, and a road Test

Let's see if I can get this straight. The guy didn't see a HUGE orange bus with flashing lights. Texting? Talking on the phone? Brain dead? And no charges filed??? Really??? This guy needs to be taken off the road until he gets his head out of his backside.

In this city you die by gun violence or bad drivers.

How on earth is that poor baby going to concentrate at school after seeing his mama get mowed down by some fool that obviously pays NO attention to a school bus loading children. Hopefully mom and child will be ok...PRAYERS! As for the PT Cruiser driver, GET HIM OFF THE ROAD...IMMEDIATELY!
