First, I am not a Dem or Rep, didn't matter to me who won (and I say this because, my vote alone wouldn't have changed a thing). Therefore, we have Obama as our President and I intend on giving him the benefit of the doubt and work towards a more unified country. This bickering back and forth is not going to help the situation rather, it will alienate the country further. Romney lost among young Hispanics and African American voters and was out to touch with this group and over-confidence was his demise. Obama got a 44 point margin victory from Hispanic voters alone. Additionally, a quote from Ana Navarro a GOP fundraiser and confidante to former Gov. Geb Bush and Sen. Marc Rubio "Latinos were disillusioned with Barack Obama, but they are absolutely terrified by the idea of Mitt Romney" this is from a GOP person. I believe it was Rush that stated we are losing the country, we are outnumbered. I don't know about losing the country but, the republicans are definetly outnumbered. It is this outnumbering that will be the factor from here on out, that will determine the elections. As more younger voters come to the polls it will shift the balance of our political agenda. Therefore, when people start calling others stupid, dumb etc, etc keep in mind that it only incites those to sometimes do the opposite so, in a certain sense, you'll be losing more republican votes in the long run. Another study I saw this morning showed an increase in young voters added to the democratic side. Now, like I've stated I'm not Dem or Rep and am only pointing out what I've read and am not taking sides here, I'm simply making an observation. Just get tired of seeing all the name calling and bickering, maybe if we all worked together, more things would get done. @Ruger1, we cool, btw I also own a ruger.

This "urgent task" and "impending financial crisis" talk is nonsense. Yes, there are some painful decisions to be made, but the timing was set up specifically so either party would avoid blame prior to the election. The plans have been in place for months; we were just waiting for the election to be over before deciding what plan to take.

Soooo, how many voted solely based on one or both of the following factors: a demographical factor of the candidate you chose be it race, religion, sex, or ethnicity. The bandwagon effect of "I've always voted ______ Party." How many of you knew there were quite a few other candidates? Did you all know the most popular item searched on Election DAY (this should have been done MONTHS before hand, folks) was "Who is running for President? Sad. We've stopped voting based on who we think has the leadership skills to lead this nation out of the terrible mess we're in and we vote based on superficiality. Good luck with that. I voted knowing my guy wouldn't win, but I voted for him anyway because I believed his stance on the important issues this country faces was the what we needed.
