Family files suit against Marion School District

By all means then, what was the outcome of the investigation? And how about the parking lot cams? What doesn't make sense is why we still dont know WHO DID IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Riddle me that luvinmomma....with alllll these investigations...where is the answer? There are lots of rumors flying around, but no one seems to know the answers...as far as UIL, I was just siting what I was told when I was moving to a new home & wanted to know if my child can stay at the same school.

What does not add up is saying a family quit the FBI. Shows a lack of knowledge on a large scale. Noone can halt the FBI. I would have to question that statement in itself. UIL also has a waiver on its site for residency rule as well. Again quick comments but they don't add up either. It doesn't add up why people aren't wanting answers from their school board who has to respond. Then maybe it will add up to everyone.

WOW!I am amazed at how this story isnt complete! The FBI came to conduct and investigation but were stopped AT THE FAMILIES REQUEST...seriously!? If your children have been 'harrassed' and treated so bad, why would YOU ask the FBI to stop investigating?! I for one would want to know WHO left such a hateful note and want that person to pay for what they did. Doesnt add up to me. Here is another kicker - the 3rd child was in middle school last year, none of the names listed would have had any contact with that particular child. The middle girl was a freshman last year and made the varsity softball team, which may I point out, one of the people listed was the coach. If the coach was that mean and racist, #1. Why would your child continue to endure such hateful behavior the entire season and #2. Why would you ALLOW your child to continue to endure that type of environment? Again...not adding up!! Just saying. And as far as the UIL rule...if the child doesnt live in the district they have to forfiet their 1st year of varsity sports due to 'school choice'. But if they moved to the district...then it doesnt matter.

Last chance, I actually went back and googled and read. Apparently this family went to school officials about the alleged incidents. The District pushed them off and schedule a meeting well after school ended. On the public docket filed it cites the family is suing the school and three teachers (Davis,Manley,and Smith). All three are no longer at the school and there is a write up that Davis made sure to say he wasn't forced out and cited lack of leader support. What I have read the community didn't rally in disgust with any of this horrible behavior, yet they did seem very abusive verbally to the family. People don't understand if a parent brings issues to the District, there is a legal obligation to intervene, while at school. I'm not sure why Marion resident cares if these girls left and if they are .Playing sports if your community doesn't want them there. This is sad and the segment previous had the NAACP that wanted training done. Again seems like there is more going on at this district and the community members should question their ISD and it's leaders. God bless those children and I hope their new schools are well. NISD, had problems but we would welcome them! Saddened at some of the racist comments so bold. Sure more will come out that those teachers are acting so innocent too. All those pages I saw, someone did something or lacked doing something.

If this was happening, I really feel bad for the girls. What I don't understand is why the parents are suing the school district. Did they know who was sending the text? Did they know who place the noose? Just asking

the race card!!! again!!!! anyone playing the race card is sick. the race card has no meaning. there are only sick people trying to make money off the school district. playing this card makes you the racist now. get off the race people!!!

How can anyone not living in Marion make comment on this post. There are two sides to the story. Why has the FBI not found out who left the noose at the car? The allegations against the teachers are not racial. How is one of thier kids going to Clemens and playing varsity when UIL does not allow that? Please let me know.

What is it with these people of color! Everywhere they go , people have to be real careful what they say or do around them. At times they force themselves to be accepted. Can't they take a hint""" Nobody likes a tag-a-long or maybe they don't like you. That doesn't mean you have to sue them. People need to realize where they are not wanted, just stay away or keep away from those that don't like you. At times I've had to deal with the same problems, but I just ignore those problems and continue with my own business. If everyone did what you do everytime someone says or does something, then you will always have your problems. Quit creating problems.
