What We're Tracking:
Not done with the rain just yet
What's Happening:
An area of t'storms that developed in north Texas last night took on a life of it's own and blossomed into quite a storm system today as it continued to move south and east. We received 2.22" of rain as of 4:30pm and there's still some rain around parts of the city. For the most part rain will taper off and end early tonight but there's still the chance of a couple of scattered showers/t'storms at any time overnight. We have a better chance for showers/t'storms later tomorrow due to the combination of instability, a lot of moisture from today's rain, and daytime heating. Drier, more stable air will get us better Memorial Day weekend weather for Sunday and Monday. Highs over the entire weekend will range from the mid 80s to the lower 90s so it won't be especially hot but the humidity will make it feel rather sticky.
Forecast:
Tonight: A few more scattered showers/t'storms possible. Low: 70 Wind: SE 10-15+
Tomorrow: Partly sunny, 40% chance of showers/t'storms. High: 86 Wind: SE 10-15+
Sunday-Monday: Partly sunny, warm and humid. Lows: Lower 70s Highs: Near 90 Winds: SSE 10-15+
