Driver flees after crashing into gas station

SAN ANTONIO -- A driver fled after crashing into a Northeast Side gas station Wednesday morning.

Police said the man was driving along Ridge Country towards Wetmore Road around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, when his car jumped the curb and slammed into a Valero station. The store clerk said the man walked into the store and said he'd be back and then got back into his car and drove away.

Police are now searching for the driver and his vehicle.

The accident caused about $10,000 in damage.
