NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- An all out gas war has broken out in New Braunfels, and drivers are taking advantage of it.
The price for regular unleaded has dropped to $3.10 at
Buc-ee's new super-sized store. People are driving from as far as Austin and San Antonio to fill up.
We're told Walmart and HEB are are trying to match the fuel prices. But drivers say Buc-ee's may have an edge because of its treats and clean restrooms.
"There's a lot of development and a lot of gas stations like this Buc-ee's," said Chase Baker, who wants the best deal. "And it make sense that there would be a price war in this area, in Comal County."
Gas station managers say it's not a war, just about competition.
