SAN ANTONIO -- It was a joyride gone wrong for a 15-year-old girl who crashed her mother's car through a fence.

The accident happened near Peabody and Bynum on the Southwest Side around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. The girl was driving around with three of her friends, when she somehow lost control of the car and crashed through a fence and nearly hit a house.

A witness told police the girls all ran from the car, but the driver ran back after the witness yelled at her. The girl allegedly told police she was on her way to practice. However, when her mother arrived, the woman told police the girl was home schooled.

The teen was cited for driving without a license.

Dodie probably deleted it when she realized how stupid it was and how she completely contradicted herself....

Who deleted Dodie's comment before I had a chance to read it? She has been away from the comment site and I get a kick out of her comments.

Too bad she wasn't drunk . She could have gotten away with it.

I was under the impression Dodie that Jesus died on the cross to forgive us of our sins? It amazes me that you and your children have NEVER sinned...you must walk as the Messiah himself...You are so judgemental of so many, and you contradict yourself in saying the child needs to ask for forgiveness and then write Jesus cannot forgive...you are to be corrected Ms. Messiah...JESUS DOES FORGIVE US OF OUR SINS.....

OK, so you lose control of the car but, then run away from the accident? Seems like this girl is way too familiar with ditching. Guess home schooling isn't cutting it, maybe juvenile detention. And, if the parents allowed her to drive then, they too should be fined.

It is time to raise the legal driving age to 21. The teenagers today have no respect for anything. Especially a vehicle which is a lethal weapon if abused.

The parents should be ticketed also, and they should also be made to pay for the damage. Children seem to be out of control and self-centered.

----------The accident happened near Peabody and Bynum ----------- It's not an accident. If she spilled a cup of milk, that would be an accident.
