SAN ANTONIO -- It was a joyride gone wrong for a 15-year-old girl who crashed her mother's car through a fence.
The accident happened near Peabody and Bynum on the Southwest Side around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday. The girl was driving around with three of her friends, when she somehow lost control of the car and crashed through a fence and nearly hit a house.
A witness told police the girls all ran from the car, but the driver ran back after the witness yelled at her. The girl allegedly told police she was on her way to practice. However, when her mother arrived, the woman told police the girl was home schooled.
The teen was cited for driving without a license.
