STOCKDALE, Texas -- A couple was found shot to death at their home in Stockdale early Thursday.
Emergency crews received a call about a shooting at a home in the 12,100 block of County Road 401 around 3:00 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived, they found that 54-year-old Steven Lambeck and his wife, 50-year-old Ramona Lambeck, had murdered in their bed. Both had been shot in the head.
Steven Lambeck's son, 29-year-old Tyson Lambeck, who was also living in the home, called 911. He had been shot in the shoulder and was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC).
The murders have rocked the small community of Stockdale. Mitchell and Susan Deagen, who live across the street, were friends with the Lambecks. They said Steven and Ramona were proud of their newly built home. Susan said she saw them both working outside on Wednesday.
Investigators said there were no signs of forced entry or any kind of struggle inside the home. They are now working to figure out who wanted the couple dead.
