SAN ANTONIO -- A Floresville High School teacher/coach has resigned after district officials say they received information about a possible inappropriate relationship between her and a student at the school.
According to a Floresville Independent School District news release, that possible inappropriate relationship allegedly occurred in the Spring of 2011. District officials say they learned about the allegations on Thursday, April 19th and immediately launched an investigation. A district spokesperson says the district also reported the allegations to the student's parents and the school district's chief of police.
The district says the teacher/coach submitted a letter of resignation on Friday, April 27th and will not be returning to the campus or district.
District officials say investigators are unable to confirm at this time that a physical relationship occurred between the teacher/coach and the student.
