Caught on Camera: Toddler trapped in washing machine at laundromat

WASHINGTON -- A trip to the laundromat turned terrifying when a toddler became trapped inside a washing machine.

Surveillance video from the laundromat in Washington shows a father put his child in the washing machine and close the door. It gets scary when the machine starts up and starts to fill with water.

An attendant was finally able to stop the machine and pull the child out. The child wasn't seriously hurt.

There's no indication by police on what charges the parents could end up facing.

the baby was just standing there and the lady appears to be looking out making sure no one can see the man put the baby in the machine, I believe they were tryin to make a quick buck but will be suprised when they are shown the video once they are caught and someone will turn them in eventually

I read this yesterday on Yahoo. Apparently the "dad" jokingly put the toddler in the machine to get him to quiet down. Out of sheer stupidity, he started the washer, not realizing it would lock. The mom stood by giggling. Had it not been for an on the site attendant, the child would have died. Stupid, uneducated parents. It wasn't done as a lawsuit case. I don't think they are that "intelligent"...

The child needs to be removed from the parents and given to the loving, caring, competent hands of someone else, someone not related. Any other children in the home shoud also be rescued!! And, the parents need to spend a great deal of time behind bars, maybe working in the prison laundry where the same COULD happen to either or both of them.
