SAN ANTONIO - People living in a neighborhood on the near North Side are on edge after two cats were found shot.
It happened in the Alta Vista neighborhood off San Pedro.
Penny Malone says one of those cats belonged to her neighbor. She said the two cats were shot with a pellet gun and to had have their legs amputated. Malone also has several cats of her own and fears letting them back outside.
“We are feeling frightened," said Malone. "If somebody has a pellet gun, we are afraid this might be a sign of something more serious.”
The president of the neighborhood association says they have reported the crime to police and are warning all pet owners in the area.
