SAN ANTONIO -- A woman was injured when the car she was driving plummeted off Highway 281 Thursday morning.

Police said the woman was traveling in the southbound lanes of Highway 281 around 11:30 a.m. Thursday when she somehow lost control of her car near Basse Road and Jones Maltsberger. The car slammed into a guardrail and then went off the highway, falling 20 to 30 feet and landing near some railroad tracks below.

The woman, who is in her 30's, was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in what crews said was surprisingly good condition considering the fall.

Another vehicle was involved in the accident but had only minor damage.

I don't know why you make jokes about women drivers, more women than men graduate universities in this country and many other countries. And those spammers sure are getting around here.

Well what really happend was she switched lanes and got rear ended by the dodge Pickup that caused her to ver off the road and fly off the high way with is about 50 to 60 feet high and slammed into the side of the UP4408's fuel tank and then bounce back into the position that it was found in. Its missing the drivers side front wheel because that is the part of the car that hit the train. I got close up picture if anyone would like.

Umm... I think you need to clean your glasses Mr. Ed a take another look at the photo. The front (albeit upside down) left tire is clearly blown.
