SAN ANTONIO - Summer time calls for a fresh, juicy hamburger loaded with all your favorite toppings! With tons of options to pick from in the Alamo city, who has the best burger in San Antonio?

Out of the thousands of nominations, we picked the top 4...

Burger Boy (#burger1)

2323 N Saint Marys St San Antonio, TX 78212

The Lord’s Kitchen (#burger2)

118 Seguin Street San Antonio, TX 78208

Big Bob’s Burgers (#burger3)

447 West Hildebrand Avenue San Antonio, TX 78212

Big’z Burger Joint (#burger4)

2303 North Loop, 1604 W, San Antonio, TX 78258

And then you voted for your favorite. The winner: Big’z Burger Joint!

“Thank you very much – and thanks to our voters,” said manager Jason Rayburg. “We need everybody else to come out here and try these burgers. If you haven’t had them, our half-pound patties are awesome. And you can make it dirty for a dollar.”

So what makes Big’z stand apart from the other San Antonio burgers?

“It’s one of a kind. It’s a really good meat – seasoned and grilled perfectly,” explained Rayburg. “Of course we have all the freshest products that you can possibly get in San Antonio.”

So which burger should you try first?

“We have a daily special up every day, so if you come in, your best bet is to do that,” said Rayburg. “My favorite is the one with the dirty fried egg on it, provolone cheese, pico de gallo and bacon.”

They’ve been at their location on Loop 1604 and Blanco Springs for six years now, and they just opened a new location off Highway 151 between Potranco and Military back in February.

“It’s the most friendly restaurant you can find. Parents can enjoy their meals. The kids can run ragged out in the back yard – and play to their little hearts’ content,” said Rayburg.

Congratulations Big’z Burger Joint!

What's up with the haters? Bigz is the best! I live in the Northeast side of the city and will make the drive to the location on 1604 for some good burgers. Lords and Madrids are good too but Bigz is better and not as greasy either. Perfect!

The last time I ate at Bigz the bottom bun was so soaked in grease, that my fingers couldn't even hold bun as it dripped through my fingers. Disgusting. I threw it away, it turned my stomach.

BIGZ overrated. The voters got this one wrong or haven't tried the others. Madrids is what others try to achieve but few are able too. The meat @ Bigz is always over-seasoned and overcooked. The owner/ manager has been rude and uncaring when there is a problem with food. Really surprised its been able to stay in business with such bad customer service..

BIG BOB'S BURGERS have the BEST in San Antonio! If you haven't had a burger there, then you don't know what you're talking about. I love Chris Madrid's, but BIG BOB'S tops them 100%!

MONSTER BURGERS... It's a new place in the southside on Pleasanton by Harlandale High School. They add slices of salami and ham to your burger that gives it a nice kick, not to mention the season on the fries. YUMMO...

Bigz is over rated, The Lords Kitchen has great burgers that are shaped by hand not pre-frozen patties. Another good burger is T.J's on the south side.

Big'z Burger Joint has the tastiest burgers in town - fresh, never frozen and angus beef for the same price everyoune else charges for ground hamburger meat! They cook 'em any temperature you want and their toppings are very generous.
