AMBER Alert reveals procedures fell through the cracks

News 4 WOAI spoke with all the players involved in Thursday night's AMBER Alert – the aunt, grandmother, Child Protective Services, the CPS caregiver, Somerset ISD and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office – and learned some procedures that should have kept this from happening fell through the cracks.

Parents need to replace old cards with new ones if there's been a change so there's no confusion.

Why do those kids have a CPS caregiver? Seems like there's a lot going wrong with that family and not just having Grandma listed as an emergency contact.
